Dr. Shashi Kumar G K has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Silchar, Assam, India (NITS). He has also held the position of an Ad hoc faculty at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka, India.

Dr. Shashi Kumar has successfully completed his PhD in December 2022 under the supervision of two joint supervisors, Prof. Bhimrao Panda Bhosale and Prof. Shivarama Padikkal, School of Humanities, Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, University of Hyderabad. He has completed his Master’s degree in English from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. He received his M.Phil., and Ph.D., degrees from the University of Hyderabad.
His Doctoral research concentrated on Translation and Literary History: Considering Early Translations from English into Kannada (1847-1930): A Study.
