The two-day national seminar on ‘Anthropology of Development and Sustainability’ organized during February 9 to 10, 2024 was concluded on February 10, 2024. The seminar honoured the vibrant legacy of 38 years of service of Prof. P. Venkat Rao to the Department. Many of his former students, including Prof Amitabh Pande, Director, IGRMS felicitated him during the event.
The two-day event ended with 60 speakers presenting their valuable thoughts and research in 8 technical sessions and 3 special panels by eminent academics in the field of Anthropology in India to deliberate and promote the discussion around social aspects of Sustainable Development in India and abroad.
