It is one thing to secure career opportunities for the usual pool of students who pass out from our University every year, but a completely different challenge to secure right opportunities for students with disabilities who have to face insurmountable hurdles to access the job market in the first place. Despite these unfavorable conditions, the University of Hyderabad (UoH) is pleased to announce that our differently abled students have been faring remarkably well in securing the careers they want.
Almost 90% of differently abled students who pass out of UoH every year have been recruited into Group-A and Group-B positions in various Departments. The feather in our cap now is the University’s effort to convince the Corporates to place the talented pool from among students with disabilities.
Taking this forward, University of Hyderabad and Youth4Jobs will be hosting Career Expo 2019 — first of its kind in Hyderabad, perhaps the third version of the event in India — conducted exclusively for persons with disabilities. The two-day event scheduled during 15 & 16 April, 2019 will be in the premises of Zakir Hussain Lecture Hall Complex, University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli, Hyderabad 500046.
Around 200 differently abled youth, management teams from 30 major corporates in the country, along with observers and resource persons will be participating in the event.
