Nischaya, the Civil Service Society based at the Centre of Integrated Studies of the University of Hyderabad, organized a talk session on April 6th titled “Career in Civil Services” featuring IAS Pulkit Singh, AIR 26, UPSC CSE 2020. The session aimed to provide Civil Service aspirants with a comprehensive understanding of the preparation methodology required to succeed in the prestigious examination.

IAS Pulkit Singh, a seasoned speaker and administrator, shared his journey of becoming an IAS officer and provided valuable insights into the exam pattern, syllabus, and selection process. The session was assisted by Shri BK Reddy, a senior faculty member of Next IAS, who addressed the participants’ doubts and queries. The speakers emphasized the importance of discipline, time management, and consistency in preparing for the Civil Services Examination.

They also highlighted the significance of current affairs, which is a crucial component of the exam, and suggested ways to stay updated with the latest news and events. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Krishna Reddy, a faculty member from the School of Economics at the University of Hyderabad, who congratulated the winners of the quiz competition organized by the Society earlier in March 2023. The competition aimed to test the participants’ knowledge of current affairs and general awareness, and the winners were felicitated by Professor Reddy.

The Society provided the attendees with a copy of the current affairs magazine related to UPSC CSE and a membership card to access the resources available at the Society. The Society offers various facilities, such as study materials, mock tests, and guidance sessions by experts, to assist Civil Service aspirants in their preparation. Overall, the session was a great success, and the participants gained valuable insights and guidance from the speakers. The event reaffirmed the Society’s commitment to support and guide Civil Service aspirants and help them achieve their goals.
