Three Post-Doctoral Fellows and a Research Associate from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been selected as part of the study tour of scholars that will visit USA. This visit has been arranged by the University Grants Commission, The Govt. of India and Ambedkar Foundation under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as part of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Babasaheb Ambedkar nation-wide. The candidates have been selected as they are doing research and published works on the philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar and on issues related to Social Justice.

As part of this the Ambedkar Foundation is making a study tour to Columbia University, New York, USA and London School of Economics, UK. 50 Scholars have been selected for USA and 50 scholars for UK from all over India. Dr. Bondyalu Banothu of Hindi, Dr. G Raju and Dr. Dilip Kumar Jawhar of Centre for Dalit and Adivasi Studies and Translation (CDAST); and Dr. Gopi Nag Subbarao of Centre for Ambedkar Studies has been selected for the study tour to Columbia University, New York and Washington DC.

The study tour is organized between 12 – 18 October in which Dr. G Raju and Dr. Dilip Kumar Jawhar are members while Dr. Bondyalu Banothu and Dr. Gopi Nag Subbarao are in the group traveling from 19-25 October 2015. During this visit they will be at the Columbia University for about 3 days and then travel to Washington DC. They will be taken to science foundations, museums, exposed to seminars and interact with the academia.
