Dr. Aparna Vincent, alumnus of University of Hyderabad, has joined the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, as a Visiting Assistant Professor on 10th of March 2021, to teach Political Theory.
Aparna holds a PhD degree from the University of Hyderabad (2019) in Political Science. Her PhD thesis titled, “Moral Panic and Civic Anger in two Anti-Corruption Protest Movements in India,” was completed under the supervision of Prof. Sanjay Palshikar from the Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad. She completed her MPhil on the “Symbolic Aspects of Online Activism” under the supervision of Prof. Vasanthi Srinivasan from the same department (2011). Her recent publication explores the role of visual rhetoric in teaching and learning Political Science (Studies in Indian Politics, Sage, May 2020).
Her research interests are broadly located within the normative political theory and interpretative study of Indian politics.
