Dr. Gomasu Sreenu, who completed his PhD (January 2024) in Materials Engineering in the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST), University of Hyderabad (India), under the supervision of Prof. Dibakar Das has joined as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the Littoral Opal Coast (ULCO) Calais campus, Unit of Dynamics and Structure of Molecular Materials research laboratory with Functional Oxide Materials and Applications (MOFA) team funded by CPER Manifest project. Dr Sreenu was recruited through a post-doctoral contract (Material Sciences) by ULCO (France), Supported by a diverse group of academic and non-academic organizations from around the world, offering specialized training avenues for recruited researchers.
Dr Sreenu is conducting his research independently under Prof. Didier FASQUELLE’s (ULCO, France) direction and in collaboration with the LPMC team. Dr Sreenu has proposed to work on the Piezoelectric Oxides for Energy Recovery and Conversion project under the main theme of Functional Materials for Energy Conversion. The project is proposed based on the European Union (EU) directions concerning the management of waste from end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Dr Sreenu worked at the University of Hyderabad, under the supervision of Prof. Dibakar Das on the topic titled: “Investigation of Novel Lead-Free BiFeO3-CaTiO3 Piezoelectric Ceramics for High-Temperature Energy Storage Applications” during his doctoral studies. This research work was carried out in collaboration with academic institutions/universities and research organizations across the globe. Comprehensive research work was carried out at the University of Hyderabad financed by UoH – Institution of Eminence (IoE), UGC, DST, MHRD Govt. of India.
