Dr. Murali Banavoth’s biography has been selected and included in the Asia Pacific Who’s Who volume XVI for his contributions (50 high quality research articles) to the Solar Energy research, which is recognized internationally. He is an Assistant Professor working in the School of Chemistry at the University of Hyderabad (UoH). Asia Pacific Who’s Who is attempted to capture and preserve the knowledge about the people who have scaled heights against to odds to achieve excellence, people who have made a mark in original thinking by any standard and also others worthy of reference interest at local, regional, national or international level. Importantly, it had been specifically conceived to present outline biographies of personalities of the Asian Continent’s Pacific neighbors, especially New Zealand and the continent of Australia, and aligning them with notable figures of Asia.
Dr. Murali Banavoth, was also selected for “The International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability” (ISEES) Young Scientist Award-2018 which was presented to him in the first week of January 2018.
Dr. Murali Banavoth after obtaining his Ph.D., from Indian Institute of Science, moved to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) at Solar Center as a postdoctoral associate and carried out pioneering work in the field of hybrid functional materials for solar harvesting. Dr. Banavoth’s contribution to the photovoltaic (Solar Cells) research is evident from his outstanding 45 publications in Nature, Advanced Materials, JACS, Angew. Chem., etc. are a few to name. He is also currently the Editor of few prestigious journals like Frontiers in Optics and Photonics, Frontiers in Physics etc.
His research interests are broadly classified as organic, inorganic, and hybrid solar cells and photovoltaics.
