Dr. S. Shaji, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Sciences, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) presented a paper at the Border Studies Conference at Sidi Mohammed Bin Abdelah University, Fez Morocco (Fez University). The conference, which was jointly organized by Sidi Mohammed Bin Abdelah university, University of Quebec, Montreal and University of Eastern Finland, was held between 13-15, February, 2024. This Conference brought together International Relations and Border Studies scholars to discuss the key developments in Border Studies themes from different regions.  The conference was attended by scholars from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Morocco, South Africa, India, France, Egypt and so on.

Dr. Shaji presented his paper titled “Borders, Border Practices and Implications for Border Theorizations in Contemporary Times: Case Study of India”. This was in the panel on Border Theory Language, which was chaired by Prof. Nick Megoran, Newcastle University, the United Kingdom. In addition, Dr. Shaji participated in the Round Table which was organized as part of the Conference. The travel was undertaken with the financial assistance from Institution of Eminence (IoE), University of Hyderabad.
