Dr. Suresh Yenugu, Department of Animal Biology, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has won the first prize of “Prof Chandana Haldar Best Researcher Paper Award 2021” on September 16, 2022 by the Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology (FRE) 2021, Chennai. The award is presented to Dr. Yenugu and his team of researchers in recognition of his original research article titled “Transgenerational effects on the fecundity and sperm proteome in rats exposed to a mixture of pyrethroids at doses similar to human consumption” published in the journal Chemosphere 2022.
Dr. Suresh is a PhD from Osmania University and his broad area of research include reproductive endocrinology, with a specific emphasis on male reproductive tract immunology and contraception. He has won many awards and honours that include the DBT Postdoctoral fellow, Department of Biochemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, October 1999 to May 2001; Fogarty International Trainee, Laboratories for Reproductive Biology, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA – June 2001 to May 2004; Research Associate, University of North Carolina, USA, June 2004 to Nov 2005; DST Young Scientist Award; DBT Overseas Associateship; ICMR-Tilak Venkoba Rao award and is also the Academic Editor, PLoS ONE.
