Drawing is in reality the basis of all visual arts. Furthermore, as an independent stand-alone art form, drawing offers the widest possible scope for creative expression. This workshop was interactive in nature and aimed to encourage the students to look at the history of drawing and understand them through serious engagement and study. Students were encouraged to experiment and stretch their ideas about what drawings can be and how they could be created and represented.

The overall program included three slide presentations, several discussions and interactions; and at the end display of drawings done by the participant students, in art studios and premises of the Department of Fine Arts.
