In a transformative stride towards bolstering educational excellence, the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has spearheaded a series of capacity-building initiatives for lecturers from Andhra Pradesh Government Degree Colleges. The culmination of the final batch of training for Telugu lecturers on March 27, 2024, marked the completion of a comprehensive phase aimed at empowering educators across various disciplines.
Under the visionary umbrella of the National Education Policy (NEP), these training programs have been meticulously designed to align with the NEP guidelines, fostering the acquisition of essential skills, capacity building, and overall skill enhancement. As part of the Viksit Bharat initiative, these endeavours not only equip educators with contemporary pedagogical practices but also invigorate the educational landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
Central to this transformative journey is the strategic collaboration forged between MMTTC-UoH and the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a commitment to mutual goals and aspirations in elevating the standards of higher education. The presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Prof. B.J. Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad and Dr. Pola Bhaskar, Commissioner of the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education underscores the significance of this partnership. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B J Rao said, “It is wonderful to see University of Hyderabad involved in collaboration with the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. These training programs will enrich the skills of the teachers who will then have the responsibility of sharing the knowledge with their peers and students”. “The greatest success of this program will be when the training received is effectively communicated across all levels”, he added.
The MoU delineates a clear vision and mission for the program, emphasizing the paramount importance of equipping educators with the requisite tools and knowledge to nurture intellectual capital.
