First Professor Annapurna Chattopadhyaya Award for Prof. Aloka Parasher Sen

Aloka Parasher Sen, Professor (Retd.), Department of History, School of Social Sciences, received the first Professor Annapurna Chattopadhyaya Award for the best book published on Ancient India from a Regional Perspective for her book Gender Religion and Local History: The Early Deccan published in 2023 by Primus, New Delhi.

The Award was given to her by the General President of the Indian History Congress, Professor Aditya Mukherjee, at its 82^nd Session of the Congress held at Kakatiya University, Warangal on December 28, 2023.
