Kiran Kumar Gowd, UGC -Junior Research Scholar in the Department of Political Science at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) is selected to present a paper in the third International Conference on Public Policy, which will take place at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (NUS), Singapore from 28th June to 30th June 2017. His paper on “ICT and Zero Hunger: A Comparative Analysis of Food Security Policies” is being selected for presentation in the panel on “The Use of ICTs to Improve Governance and Accountability Outcomes” in the conference being organised by International Public Policy Association (IPPA).

The UNDP Global Centre for Public Service Excellence (GCPSE) is giving the full Grant to nine researchers to present the paper related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDP) and Kiran Kumar is one among them. The UNDP GCPSE is also organizing a special panel session on 28th June 2017 on “Sustainable Development” to discuss about the Agenda 2030 of UN with special emphasis on Goal 16.6 (Develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels).

Mr. Max Everest-Phillips, Director, UNDP Global Centre for Public Service Excellence (GCPSE) will be chairing the session and as the grantee, Kiran is also invited as a member of the panel to discuss on how he would like to develop his work to influence governments, donors, international organisations and other stakeholders. Kiran is currently working under Prof. I. Ramabrahmam.
