The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Hyderabad (UoH) along with another premier Agriculture Research Institute i.e. National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) Hyderabad has been renewed for another period of three years. The MoU was signed today (16 March 2017) by Shri P Sardar Singh, Registrar of UoH and Shri Ashish Roy, Registrar of NAARM in the presence of senior officials from both the institutions at the University of Hyderabad campus.
The objectives of the MoU is to develop managerial and academic skills in Graduates to effectively administer educational institutions with the application of appropriate technologies and instructional strategies and offer need-based short term courses to improve the employability skills to trained teachers.
Immediate activities: UoH and NAARM will jointly offer the following programs through distance mode:
a) Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture (PGD-TMA)
b) Post Graduate in Diploma in Education Technology (PGD-ET)
c) Other short term online courses
By pursuing the above programs, the graduates with Agriculture background can be able to enhance their employable skills and opportunities. The candidates who pursue the programs will also have an opportunity to get exposure in the various research labs during the practical sessions on NAARM campus. Many working employees in the Agriculture sector have already applied for the above programs. The candidates who will be joining this program will be receiving a well prepared study material in the field of Agriculture Management. Further they have to attend only contact classes for short duration both in UoH and NAARM. The examinations are conducted on semester-cum-term basis i.e after every six months. After successful completion of one year the candidates will be receiving a final diploma certificate from the UoH. After completion of the above program the candidates will be able to apply for various positions in the Indian Council of Agricultural and Research (ICAR) institutions & other State Agricultural Institutions as an-add on program.
