Ms. Grishma Goyal alumna of MA (Economics), Batch: 2013-15, from University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected in the prestigious Indian Economic Service (IES) 2019 conducted by the UPSC. She has joined the service on 3rd May, 2021.

Grishma was also very active in volunteering for the SPIC MACAY during her UoH stay. She has also worked with the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India (DPIIT).
Grishma fondly recalls her stay at the University, “UoH is home to me. UoH was the first place that gave me a glimpse of the world outside Delhi. I spent the best years of my life there. The inter- disciplinary approach towards academics aided to my UPSC preparation. I am indebted to all my Professors at the School of Economics, especially Dr. R. Vijay, for igniting the love for the subject in me and encouraging me to think beyond the books. UoH is extremely close to my heart and shall always remain so.”
