A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on 2nd February 2015 between University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Nagaland University (NU). Prof. B. K. Konwar, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University and Prof. E Haribabu, Vice-Chancellor, UoH were present at the signing of the MoU between both the Universities on UoH campus. Prof. Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Finance Officer of NU, Shri M Sudhakar, Registrar i/C of UoH and Dr. Phanindra Goyari, Associate Professor, UoH were present on the occasion.
The MoU is valid for five years and the objectives are to establish a close linkage and functional coordination between UoH and NU; facilitate Academic Exchange in broad areas of mutual interest, such as sciences, social sciences and humanities; have ‘Research and Development’ collaborations; facilitate creation/development of new experimental and research training facilities through mutual co-operation of NU and UoH through exchange of experts etc.; facilitate students and faculty members of NU for experimental work at UoH and vice versa in selected areas; facilitate mutual exchange of permanent faculty for research activities (individual or joint) in all broad areas; facilitate mutual exchange of permanent faculty for teaching some courses without financial commitment from University of Hyderabad; facilitate mutual exchange of students (mainly Ph.D scholars); facilitate mutual exchange of students (of integrated and master degree courses) through summer/winter internships or other means; facilitate organizing conferences/seminars or workshops of national and international levels jointly; assist each other in the organization and/or participation in national and international training programs, specialized exhibitions and similar events taking place in respective institutions; facilitate mutual exchange of information regarding academic ideas, product innovations etc.; any other relevant activities of mutual interest to NU and UoH, and any intellectual property (IP) arising out of the joint intellectual inputs under a collaborative R&D project will be shared jointly; filing and maintenance cost, if any, shall also be shared equally.
