More than 100 NSS volunteers from all over India to take part in the ten-day programme
About 20 NSS volunteers from Telangana to participate
Two students from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been selected for the National Service Scheme (NSS) national adventurous tour camp scheduled to be held from 14 to 23 September 2014.
Mr. Gampala Ravi and Ms. Gonguluri Krishnaveni are the two NSS volunteers from UoH who have been selected among the 20 volunteers from Telangana for this camp in addition to another 100 from other parts of the country, said the University NSS Coordinator, Dr. Vasanth Srinivasa Rao.
The ten-day camp will see adventurous activities like hill climbing, trekking, travelling from hollow pit of a hill etc. There will also be sessions on how to protect oneself and others during a natural disaster.
Both Gampala Ravi and Gonguluri Krishnaveni are excited to be a part of this camp and are looking forward to meet many volunteers like them from different states of India. This is the first time that NSS volunteers from UoH have been selected for this national level camp.
On this happy occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Pro VC, Prof. E. Haribabu University Registrar, Prof. I. Rambramham, teaching and non teaching staff congratulated the NSS Coordinator and volunteers.
