The University is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Prof. P.N. Girija, former Professor, School of Computer and Information Sciences on 31.03.2022. She had superannuated in July 2019 and worked in the areas of Speech Synthesis, Speech Recognition, Spoken Dialog Systems, Human Computer Interaction, and Intelligent Agents. She was also Visiting Scientist to Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.

We mourn the sudden loss of our beloved Faculty, whose immense contributions to the development of the institution will be remembered for long. The entire University of Hyderabad community joins together in praying for her souls to rest in peace.
