Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Senior Professor & faculty in the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman-II of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education on August 7, 2017.
In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education Act, 1998, the State Government of Telangana appoints Prof. Venkat Ramana as the Vice-Chairman-II for a period of three years from his date of joining.
Prof. Venkata Ramana holds a Master’s Degree and a gold medalist in PhD. in Business Management and has over two and half decades of professional experience spanning academics, research, industry and business consulting in the areas of General Management, Corporate Strategy, Banking, Infrastructure and Services Sector Management. He has also been awarded Best Professor in Marketing Management by CMO Asia in 2012 in Singapore and he was also appointed as the Member of the First Academic Court of the Central University of Rajasthan by the President of India. Prof. Ramana is also the special invitee of the CII Telangana Council and had the distinction of accompanying the Hon’ble President to Guangzhou during May 24-25, 2016 and he was the Director, State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) and Director, India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL). He has vast experience as an Academic administrator and has earlier served as Dean of the Management School in UoH for almost seven and half years and also has been recipient of many awards for his contribution to the field of Higher Education in General and Management Education in particular.
