Ganesh Puthur, an alumnus of MA History 2018-2020 batch, at University of Hyderabad (UoH) has won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in Malayalam language for his anthology of poetry titled ‘Achante Alamara’. The Yuva Puraskar is a literary honour which Sahitya Akademi annually confers on young writers of Indian languages. The jury unanimously selected Ganesh’s anthology of poetry from the final five recommendations for the award.
The award in the form of a casket containing an engraved copper-plaque and a cheque of Rs 50,000 will be presented to Ganesh Puthur at a special function to be held at a later date.
