To attempt 25 Lakh plantations in an hour in all 23 districts of TS and AP
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) in collaboration with ECOVISION ADOPT A PLANT FOUNDATION is attempting a GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS for 25,00,000 plantations in 1 Hour in all 23 Districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Sunday the 14th of August 2016, from 10:10 AM to 11:10 AM.
The team of ECOVISION, Mr. Adapa Subramanyam Adapa, Mrs Uma Devi, Dr. Sarala Kumari and Uma Shanker had the honour of Meeting the Acting Vice-Chancellor of UoH, Professor Mariappan Periasamy to initiate support to the Green Cause Drive for Nature Sustainability. It was his excellence personified, readily agreed to include the services of the students and faculty fraternity of UoH and introduced the NSS Coordinator, Dr. V. Srinivasa Rao, to help in looking at all possible ways to make this global event a grand success by achieving a place in the Guinness book of World Records for India. Vice-Chancellor, Professor M Periasamy, also said that he is always ready to help for the cause of Nature sustainability and applauded the drive initiated by ECOVISION ADOPT A PLANT FOUNDATION which is the need of the hour.
The team from ECOVISION presented a plant to the Vice-Chancellor as a symbol of first initiative.
The University lauds the vision of NSS-UoH and calls upon the University fraternity to encourage and help them achieve their goal.
