RUR Reputation Rankings assesses the performance of 801+ world’s higher education institutions by academic reputation in terms of the quality of teaching and the quality of research. UoH is 7th in India and 443rd in the World in reputation ranking.

Professor B. J. Rao, Vice-Chancellor, expressing his pleasure at the continued good performance of the University in the Rankings, observed that “reputation” depends on the quality of our published work and not its quantity. Professor Rao said that UoH will be working towards higher benchmarks to ensure better quality publications from our faculty. “Competing in the world rankings is not just about securing ranks, but raising our standards in teaching and research to meet our country’s needs and providing a higher quality overall to our students,” Prof Rao added.

RUR Rankings Agency was founded in 2013 and is based in Moscow. RUR Ranking measures institutional performance by 20 indicators grouped in four key areas: Teaching, Research, International Diversity, and Financial Sustainability.  The ranking is designed to provide relevant information on global higher education to address the requirements of the stakeholders – students, academic community, university management, policy makers.
