Udita Mishra, Masters in Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad- project student in the laboratory of Dr. Seema Mishra, got first prize with a certificate and cash prize for nation-wide Scientific writing 2018 competition on ‘Science fiction with a futuristic view of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics’. Her essay is entitled “Chips and Bars” and this award is given under the aegis of International Society of Computational Biology Regional Student Group-India held during International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB 2018) organized by Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Network at JNU, New Delhi in September 2018.
Asanigari Saleembhasha, Doctoral student in the laboratory of Dr. Seema Mishra in Biochemistry Department, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad- got best poster award with a certificate and cash prize in an unbiased selection by committee of experts including International expert from Japan. He got the award for poster entitled “Exploration of protein-coding genes’ regulation by long non-coding RNAs: a pan-cancer systems biology approach” held during International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB 2018) organized by Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Network at JNU, New Delhi in September 2018.
