Valedictory Session of 21-day In-service Teacher Training Programme for UoH Campus School Teachers organized by DEET

The valedictory session of the 21-day in-service Teacher Training Programme for the teachers of the University of Hyderabad Campus School which was scheduled from 14.09.2021 to 04.10.2021 organized by the Department of Education and Education Technology (DEET), School of Social Sciences (SSS), UoH was held on October 4, 2021 in the Conference Hall of the School of Social Sciences.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor UoH, Prof. Basuthkar Jagadeeshwar Rao was the chief guest of the valedictory function, Prof. Sarraju Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Madhusudan J.V, HoD in Department of Education and Education Technology, Chairman SMC, Prof. S.V.S Nageswararao and Dr. Varalakshmi member SMC graced the occasion.

At the outset Dr. T. Sumalini, Coordinator of the Program, welcomed the guests and presented a detailed report of the proceedings of the last twenty days of In-Service training, narrating the topics dealt by resource persons along with the highlights of the sessions.

Dr.T.Sumalini and Dr. A.S. Jalandharachari were the Coordinators of the 21 day In-Service Training for UH Campus School Teachers. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, HoD and other dignitaries applauded their vision, plan of action and meticulous work in conduct of the program in a befitting manner.

Prof. R.S.Sarraju, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.V.S.Nageswararao, Chairman SMC and Dr. J.V. Madhusudan, Head, DEET addressed the gathering. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor released the training manual and addressed the teachers and mentioned that a teacher should listen to each child, reach the mind, awaken creativity, ignite and make each one of them to speak breaking the barrier of inhibition. A good teacher is a thinker he added.

The participants were presented with certificates at the hands of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor on successful completion of their training. Dr. R. Krishnaiah and Dr. Geetha Gopinath faculty in the Department of Education and Education Technology attended the session. Mr.P. Murali I/c Principal and all the trainee teachers shared their reflections on the training program and appreciated the work carried out during the program.
