Prof. Arun Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. B. Raja Shekhar, Pro Vice-Chancellor-2; Shri P. Sardar Singh, Registrar; had paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Governor of Telangana and the Chief Rector of the University, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, on June 25, 2021 at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad.   During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor had flagged few points for her attention, particularly the matter concerning free vaccination drive on the campus for students, outsourced staff and other employees so that an educational institution like the UoH could plan a staggered return of the students and for seeing that the students who are required for lab classes and PhD work requiring experiments to be conducted could be invited back to the campus during the first phase.  This would allow the alignment of the academic calendar for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22 as far as possible despite the constraints resulting from the severe Covid-19 situation.

It was also brought to the notice of the Hon’ble Governor that the University had initiated a paid vaccination drive on the campus on June 23, 2021 and one on June 25, 2021, even while the meeting was on at the Raj Bhavan.

The Hon’ble Governor was graciously forthcoming with her support, advice and intervention for an all-important free vaccination drive in educational institutions that will help normalize academic activities with greater vigour.
