Shri D V K Vasudevan, Music Teacher and presently working at Bol Hyderabad 90.4 FM radio station in S N School of Arts and Communication was invited to represent India in the Festival “Namaste France” by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. He was invited to be part of an Instrumental Ensemble that is led by Legendary Mridangam Vidwan, Padmasree Awardee, Prof. Yella Venkateswara Rao ji.
“Namaste France” is a 45 days long international festival, where top notch artistes from all over India perform. In simple words, Namaste France festival will provide a platform to the people of France for viewing and understanding India’s historically rich cultural traditions and this group was also part of the cultural representatives to represent the Indian culture and Heritage.
The team reached Paris on 19th October 2016 and had concerts on 20th and 22nd. The First concert was performed in Petite Palias (a small palace built by the king). The auditorium was filled with French and Indian origin people and the concert was very well appreciated by all.
The second performance was on 22nd in the Indian Mission in University of Paris that was attended and appreciated by University and Indian fraternity.
