A Workshop on Wildlife/Nature Photography was organized at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on 20th September 2014. Well-known wildlife photographer Rathika Ramasamy shared her experiences of shooting in the wildlife and in forests with the students and staff of the University.
Rathika gave a presentation at the C V Raman auditorium on the technical aspects of camera settings and photography and this was followed by a photo-walk in the university campus where she encouraged by giving tips to the participants of the workshop to click pictures of nature, birds and wildlife.
More than 40 participants took part in the day-long workshop which was coordinated by Dr. Joby Joseph.
Rathika Ramasamy is a well known wildlife photographer and has ventured into the field of nature photography more than a decade ago. She is passionate about birds and is specializing in bird photography. She has traveled to most of the National parks in India, and has also been to national parks in Africa. For her, wildlife photography is not only a passion but a medium to conserve nature. Her work has been showcased in national and international publications. She is a member of (NPS)Nikon’s Professional Services. She regularly conducts Wildlife Photography workshops all over India and gives talks.
