Two Acrylic synthetic tennis courts have been developed in line with US open synthetic Tennis complex at the University of Hyderabad at a cost of approximately Rs.23 lakhs. This is 8 layered synthetic rubber coated surface and the work has been executed by internationally reputed firm, M/s. Syncotts International tennis court laying contractors. The complex was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy on 24th October 2013 and can be used by the University fraternity.
Fencing has also been put around the court by the Engineering Division of the UoH at an approximate cost of Rs. 6 lakhs. In future it is proposed to have flood-light facility which will then make it one of the best tennis court complexes in the Hyderabad.
It is proposed to form a club which will then monitor the tennis activities at the synthetic tennis complex.
