We are delighted to announce that Dr. Aarti Nagpal Mehta, an alumna of the Centre for Health Psychology, School of Medical Sciences, has joined Chanakya University in Bangalore as an Assistant Professor at the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Academic Achievements
Dr. Aarti completed her M.Sc. and PhD. in Psychology from the Centre for Health Psychology, School of Medical Sciences in 2020. During convocation, she received the noble Prof. A.S Dash Gold Medal for her Doctoral Thesis and the prestigious NITTER award for best PhD work by the Indian Association for Applied Psychology.
Leadership and Teaching Experience
During her time at the University of Hyderabad, Dr. Aarti served as the Students’ Union President in 2018-2019 and worked as a Guest Faculty in the Centre for Health Psychology from August 2022 to December 2024.
Dr. Aarti says, “I am grateful to the University of Hyderabad and my mentors for their guidance and support in shaping me into an academician dedicated to nation-building.”
