Centre for Dalit & Adivasi Studies and Translation (CDAST), School of Humanities at University of Hyderabad (UoH) with the support of ITDA, Utnoor, Adilabad is organized the valedictory session of one-week Workshop-cum-Training Programme on Gunjala Gondi Script on 14th June 2014.

Ms. Kova Laxmi, MLA, Asifabad (Adilabad Dist.) was the chief guest and Prof. E. Hari Babu, Pro Vice-Chancellor, UoH was presided the valedictory session of this workshop.

Ms. Kova Laxmi in her address said that she is committed to provide any support from Government of Telangana to further develop the Gondi Script and asked the participants to bring her notice if any suggestions on making Gondi language as popular. She awarded the certificates to the winners in the essay competition on Gondi Script and also to the volunteers who participated in this workshop.

In the presidential address, Prof. E. Hari Babu suggested to introduce the Gondi language as a subject in the schools and also insisted the participants to use the radio communities for popularizing the language and taking it into grassroots level.

Prof. V. Krishna, coordinator of this programme has given a vote of thanks to the gathering for making this workshop, a very success.
