The NSS cell, University of Hyderabad conducted a plantation dive in the premises of the Schools of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Economics, and School of Management Studies on 19-09-2024 in coordination with the School of Mathematics and Statistics, horticulture and sanitation departments.
Chief Guest Prof. Prof. Saroj Panigrahi, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics inaugurated the event and graced the occasion. He appreciated the NSS cell for taking up this initiative and serving the university community to maintain a healthy environment on the campus.
NSS volunteers, the Ph.D., scholars and masters program students of the School of Mathematics and Statistics participated in the activity.
They cut the bushes and waste plants, swept the dry leaves, and transported them to the dump yard. Dr. B. Krishnaiah, NSS coordinator, and Dr. Bhim Singh monitored the activity while participating in the plantation drive.
