Dr. DVK Vasudevan, music teacher at the Campus School, University of Hyderabad (UoH), was conferred the prestigious Distinguished Artiste Award during the Silicon Andhra Silver Jubilee Celebrations held on August 1, 2026, at the Oakland Arena in California, USA.
The award was presented by U.S. Congressman Sri Raja Krishnamoorthi alongside Sri Ajay Kataria, recognizing Dr. Vasudevan’s outstanding contributions to Indian classical music and his dedicated efforts in promoting the nation’s rich cultural heritage on global platforms.
The honour was bestowed during the historic Sangeethamrutavarshini Triple Guinness World Record event. Bringing together thousands of musicians and witnessed by a grand audience of over 10,000, the gathering stands as one of the largest celebrations of Indian music ever held outside India.
The ceremony took place in the august presence of eminent dignitaries, including Dr. Lakireddy Hanimi Reddy, Sri Muralidhar Rao, and the leadership of Silicon Andhra—including Smt. Priya Tanugula (President), Sri Anand Kuchibhotla, Sri Raju Chamarthi, Sri Deenababu Kondubhatla, and Sri Dilip Kondiparti.
