Distinguished academic and literary scholar Prof. Pramod K. Nayar has published his latest research monograph, The Environmental Graphic Novel: How Green is the Panel?, with Routledge (London and New York).
The book examines over two dozen graphic texts from across the globe that engage with pressing ecological concerns—ranging from climate disasters to grassroots resistance and systemic resilience. Through its analysis of naturalist memoirs, biographies, post-disaster narratives, and eco-fables, the volume demonstrates how the visual-narrative medium re-animates and re-enchants our understanding of the world during an era of unprecedented climate crisis.
This release marks Prof. Nayar’s seventh book dedicated to the Environmental Humanities. His extensive scholarship on planetary crises, ecological disasters, and representational genres includes:
