Dr. Pritish Kumar Sahu, an alumnus of University of Hyderabad (UoH)- (2000-2002 MA-Economics) has received the Hind Rattan Award (“Jewel of India” award) on the eve of republic day 2015.
This is one of the highest Indian Diasporic award granted annually to non-resident Indian citizens (NRIs) for their outstanding contributions in different fields. He was given the Award on 25th January 2015 in a glittering function at New Delhi by the former Lok Sabha Speaker Ms. Meera Kumar in the presence of B.N. Singh (Former Governor of Seven States and former Union Minister), G.V.G. Krishna Murthy (Former Election Commissioner), Mr. Oskar Fernandes (M.P.) and Mr. Alain St.Ange (the Tourism and Culture Minister of Seychelles).
Dr. Pritish Kumar Sahu at present is working as a Senior Lecturer at the Multimedia University (Malaysia) and an external Consultant to the United Nations (UNCTAD Division).
