The University of Hyderabad Campus School celebrated its Annual Day on November 14, 2024 along with Children’s Day celebrations, with great excitement and joy. The event brought students, teachers, and distinguished guests together for a memorable day filled with performances and celebrations.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Prof. B.J. Rao, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad. The event also welcomed Prof. Sanjay Subodh, Chairman, Prof. Bramanandam Manavathi co-chairman of the School Management Committee, and Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar and the program was led by the school’s Principal, Sri P. Murali.
The celebrations began with the arrival of the Chief Guest and the formal welcoming ceremony, including presenting bouquets, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and the felicitation of honored guests.
The school choir performed a melodious song that set a warm and festive tone for the event. Principal P. Murali delivered the welcome address and presented the Annual Report, summarizing the school’s achievements and significant milestones over the past academic year.
The prize distribution followed, recognizing and celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of the students. Prof. B.J. Rao delivered an inspiring speech that encouraged students to continue striving for success and excellence.
The cultural performances were a highlight of the event. Younger students from Pre-Primary and classes I and II charmed the audience with their lively dance routines, while students of classes III to VIII performed well-coordinated group dances that showcased their talent and enthusiasm, which enthralled the audience.
The dramatic arts added depth to the celebration. The Telugu skit by students of classes V to VIII focused on the theme of honesty, portraying its importance in daily life. The English skit honored the role of mothers and the value of showing respect and gratitude towards them. The Hindi play, performed by students of classes VI to VIII, carried a powerful message promoting the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) campaign, emphasizing the importance of protecting and empowering girl children.
A moving rendition of the song “Heal the World” conveyed a message of peace and unity, resonating with the audience. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity.
Overall, the Annual Day was a testament to the students’ hard work, creativity, and the school’s spirit. The day was filled with meaningful performances that highlighted important values and showcased the dedication of both students and teachers, making it a highly cherishable even for the years to come.
