On 4 August, 2026 the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) organised a Gender Sensitization Programme called ‘SAHAS’ in collaboration with the Women’s Safety Wing of the Telangana Police that works towards making the workplaces safe. The programme was organized in the School of Chemistry for the benefit of their students.
Prof. Samar Kumar Das, Dean – School of Chemistry delivered the welcome address. Prof. Lalitha Guruprasad, Presiding Officer, ICC – UoH introduced the speaker Ms. Asiya Shervani and her team Ms. Shravani and Mr. Nitin.
Ms. Shervani deliverd an impressive lecture touching upon all the important aspects of the PoSH Act, 2013 and interacted with the students while answering their queries. All the participants benefited immensely with this interactive session which included students, administrative staff and faculty members. Prof. Suvashisha Rana, Member-ICCC; Ms. Kandi Poojitha, Student Member-ICC and Dr. Shree Gyanmote, Converner-ICC were also present.
Series of such gender sensitization programmes will be organized by the ICC – UoH in the coming weeks in most of the Schools of University of Hyderabad.
