Deekshith Kalali, PhD student in the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST) working under the supervision of Prof. Koteswararao V. Rajulapati, attended an international conference titled “Advances in Structural Alloys and Their Manufacturing (ASATM)” held at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore during 10-13 January 2023.

Deekshith Kalali

Deekshith gave an oral presentation on the research topic, “Role of Ti on phase formation, phase stability and mechanical properties of MoNb/MoTa/MoNbTaW multi-principal element alloys”, in which he developed some novel refractory alloys based on multi-principal element approach for the next generation high-temperature applications with extremely high strength in comparison to similar family of alloys reported till now in the literature. A part of his research efforts can be found in the following publications:

D. G. Kalali et al., Materials Science and Engineering, A 812 (2021) 141098.

D. G. Kalali et al., Materials Letters, 324 (2022) 132768.

Deekshith is immensely grateful to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. B. J. Rao; Dean-SEST, Prof. Dibakar Das; Institution of Eminence program and organizers of the ASATM conference for all the kind support that enabled him to interact with the world’s best minds in the conference working in his research area.
