Mr. M. Deepak and Mr. D. Madhava, from the Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) have won the APG Regional Quiz Competition for “GEOIndia 2024” held at Chennai ONGC Headquarters on September 20, 2024.
Mr. Deepak, a dedicated researcher under the guidance of Prof. V. Chakravarthi, and Mr. Madhava, a student in the IX Semester of the IMSc Applied Geology program, have demonstrated the high academic standards of the Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) by their victory. The 6th South Asian Geosciences Conference and Exhibition ‘GEO-INDIA,’ organized by APG India, is set to take place from 15th to 17th November in Greater Noida. The event, themed ‘Exploring New Dimensions of Energy Dynamics,’ includes a ‘Student Program’ designed to inspire and engage Geoscience students and researchers in academia.
Under this student program, a geoscience-related quiz competition has been conducted touching upon the nuances of GEOlndia 2024 theme “Exploring New Dimensions of Energy Dynamics” amongst PG students/ researchers of Geoscience from different academic institutions on 20th September 2024 at ONGC, CMDA, Chennai. As winners of the quiz competition, APG India sponsors Mr. Deepak and Mr. Madhava to participate in the Geolndia2024 conference scheduled from 15th to 17th November 2024 at Greater Noida.
