As a part of the Campus Concert Series, University of Hyderabad organized a Solo Violin Concert by Shri Anuroop on 13th November, 2013 at Humanities auditorium.
VIdwan Anuroop is one of the Top Graded Violinists in India and is presently working as a Nilaya Vidwan at All India Radio, Thrissur. In the concert that lasted for more than 90 minutes, Shri Anuroop started with a very popular composition of muthuswamy deekshitar, Vaatapi ganapathim Bhaje in Hamsadwani Ragam Aaditalam and made audience spellbound with his intelligent swarakalpana.
Later he played Teliyaleru Rama in dhenuka ragam aaditalam and Bhogindra Saayinam in Kuntlavarali ragam with very good emphasis on saahityabhava. The main Item of the concert Intasowkhyamani in Kaapi raagam was a real example of musical brilliance of Vidwan Anuroop. He portrayed the Raagam Kaapi in a very nice way with good raga bhavam. Later he played vaishanava janato a popular bhajan and concluded the concert with Kadanakutuhala raga Tillana.
Mridangam support for the concert given by vidwan Shri Jayabhasker was melodious and kept the audience glued to their seats. His tanyavarthanam on the mridangam made the listeners speechless. Finally Vidwan Anuroop blended Carnatic Sastra, Hindustani style of continuity and western technique in a very interesting way thereby providing a musical feast to the audience.
