Dr. Appalakondaiah Samudrala an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected for the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship. He joined the Department of Physics, IIT-Jodhpur as Ramanujan Fellow recently.

Dr. Appalakondaiah Samudrala graduated in 2015 with Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Ganapathy Vaitheeswaran in Advanced Centre of Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), UoH and spent nearly six years as post-doctoral researcher in Sungkyunkwan University and University of Seoul, South Korea. He has been actively involved in understanding the electronic structure of layered and 2D materials during his post-doctoral research.
