We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kandula Subramanian, an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad’s School of Economics, the Class of MA, Economics, 1992-94. An award-winning journalist, Kandula held senior editorial positions at Outlook Publishing, BM Businessworld, the Financial Express, and the Indian Express, making lasting contributions to journalism.
Kandula’s academic journey was equally impressive. As a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, he demonstrated a deep commitment to learning and knowledge. In 2013, his pioneering work on waste management earned him the Pole Star Award.
