Dr. O. Sivasankar Prasad, University Librarian (I/c), represented the University at the 71st ILA International Conference 2026, organized by the Indian Library Association in collaboration with Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, from 5–7 February 2026.

The conference, themed “Transforming Library Services in the AI Era: Library Services, User Engagement and Community Impact,” brought together librarians, academicians, researchers, and IT professionals from India and abroad to deliberate on innovations in library services, AI integration, user engagement, open access, vernacular language automation, and sustainable library practices.

Dr. Sivasankar Prasad chaired a technical session and actively contributed to scholarly deliberations. He received a memento from Prof. Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, Director, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan and Secretary, Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal, Agra.

He was also presented with a shield by Dr. Pardeep Rai, President of the Indian Library Association, New Delhi, in recognition of his contribution in moderating a series of professional webinars organized by the Association.

His active participation and recognition at this international forum brought laurels to the University and reaffirmed its commitment to excellence in Library and Information Science.
