Dr. S. B. Rathna Kumar honored with “Best Case Study Award” at the “International Congress”

Dr. S. B. Rathna Kumar, Associate Professor at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH), received the “Best Case Study Award” at the “International Science, Technology, and Research Awards Congress 2024”. This prestigious award was presented to Dr. S. B. Rathna Kumar for his outstanding research titled “Speech Perception Performance in Sloping High-Frequency Hearing Loss and Frequency-Lowering Strategy in Digital Hearing Aids: A Case Report’’

This study evaluated the benefits of digital hearing aids employing a nonlinear frequency compression strategy concerning speech perception for an elderly patient with sloping high-frequency sensorineural hearing loss. The Honorable Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, presented this award to Dr. S. B. Rathna Kumar at the award ceremony held on the 20^th of October 2024 in Trichy, Tamil Nadu.
