Dr. Sahana Sen, Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai (An Empowered Autonomous Institute) from September 14, 2024.
Sahana Sen registered for PhD in the Department of Sociology and has been awarded the Doctorate Degree on February 2020. She has worked under the guidance of Dr. Nagaraju Gundemeda, Professor and Head, Dept of Sociology, UoH.
The title of her PhD Dissertation was ‘Curriculum, Pedagogy and Cultures of Learning: An Ethnographic study of Buddhist Institutions in South India’. This research was conducted within the sub-field of Sociology of Education and the field work for the same was conducted in Karnataka near Hubli and Mysore. She has also completed her MPhil on essential debates on Primary Education in India under the guidance of Dr. Nagaraju Gundemeda and MA in Sociology from the same Dept. She has also previously worked in University of Goa.
