Dr. Sajaudeen Chapparban, an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad, has been awarded the esteemed Women in Public Life – Visiting Scholar Fellowship by the American Heritage Center at the University of Wyoming, USA.

During his residency at the University of Wyoming until June 14, 2025, Dr. Chapparban will focus on researching the significant contributions of Arab American and South Asian American hijab-wearing personalities to American society, exploring themes of representation, identity, and public engagement.

This prestigious fellowship is a testament to Dr. Chapparban’s scholarly excellence and dedicated contributions to the interdisciplinary field of migration and diaspora studies. He has received numerous fellowships and awards from esteemed international institutions and universities.

This international recognition brings pride to the University of Hyderabad and the Central University of Gujarat, where Dr. Chapparban currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Diaspora Studies.
