The School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, hosted an Alumni Meet on 08 August 2026, bringing together distinguished alumni of the 1999–2001 batch, faculty members, and students of the School.
The meet was organized by Dr. Steven and Dr. Munniswamy on behalf of the 1999–2001 batch.
The interaction provided students with valuable insights into the corporate world, career opportunities, internships, and alumni’s professional journeys. It was also a nostalgic and heartfelt occasion, as alumni shared memorable experiences of their campus life and their journey at the University. Their reflections highlighted the enduring bond with their alma mater and the pride of being associated with the School of Economics and the University of Hyderabad.
Several other alumni also joined the interaction, both in person and virtually, making the programme more engaging and inclusive. Prof. Debhasis Acharya chaired the panel discussion, which offered students an opportunity to interact with alumni and gain valuable perspectives on careers and professional development. The event was also graced by the presence of superannuated professors and current faculty members of the School of Economics.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Krishna Reddy Chittedi, SPOC, Alumni Cell, School of Economics, and served as a meaningful platform for connecting alumni with the present generation of students. It facilitated an enriching exchange of experiences, knowledge, career perspectives, and aspirations.
The Alumni Meet reaffirmed the strong and enduring relationship between the School and its alumni, while highlighting the important role alumni can play in mentoring, guiding, and inspiring students in their academic and professional journeys.
