On March 23, 2026, the School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, had the pleasure of hosting 50–60 first-year B.Sc. Biotechnology and Microbiology students from Nagarjuna Government College (A), Nalgonda, Telangana, along with their faculty and staff.

The visit was coordinated and facilitated by Ms. Monica Kannan, Scientific Officer, providing the students with an opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art central research facilities. The interactive sessions with faculty members, research scholars, and technical staff created a highly engaging environment that inspired and motivated the students to pursue higher education and research careers.

It was particularly encouraging to see the enthusiasm of students, many of whom come from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This half-day educational tour offered valuable academic exposure and a glimpse into the possibilities within the field of Life Sciences, helping them envision a path toward successful scientific careers.

Such outreach initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing future budding scientists and making research more inclusive and accessible.
