AN Open source ERP workshop was organised at the School of Management Studies (SMS), University of Hyderabad from 11th to 13th December 2015. The students of MBA, MBA (Healthcare& Hospital Management) and Research Scholars participated in this workshop conducted in collaboration with PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Prof. B. Raja Shekhar, Dean of the School inaugurated the workshop.
Resource faculty were Mr. M.S. Karthikeyan, Dr. R. Sujatha and Dr. J. Sekkizar from PSG who have rich experience of Industry and academia.
The 3- day workshop has provided an exposure to open source ERP software, with major functional modules like Human Resource, Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales Management, Purchase Management, etc. This workshop has been specifically designed with lab exercises and provides hands on experience on the special features of the software. Students have been immensely benefited from the workshop which makes them to understand how the real time ERP solutions implemented in various functional areas of the organisation.
