The School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST) at the University of Hyderabad will get a new building on campus. The foundation stone was laid on 20th November 2020 and this 50,000 sq ft building will have five floors.
The financial support of Rs. 34 crores for this building is from the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA), Government of India. This new building will have different sized class rooms for teaching, teaching labs, research labs, seminar halls, office space for faculty, sitting space for research scholars and other required amenities for differently abled personnel as well. It is expected to be completed within eighteen months.
The SEST currently offers PhD programs in Materials Engineering, Nanoscience & Technology and M. Tech. programs in Materials Engineering, Nanoscience & Technology and Manufacturing Science & Engineering.
